NATIONAL LIBRARY WEEK: APRIL 14 - APRIL 20, 2013
The Belle Fourche Public Library joins libraries nationwide celebrating April 14 - 20 as National Library Week.
The Belle Fourche Public Library is celebrating this week by offering amnesty for any overdue materials, no matter how overdue they are, that are returned during this week only. There will also be drawings for special prizes and giveaways for children. Since Story Time was cancelled during its regular time because of the snow storm, we will have it on April 16.
The Belle Fourche Public Library serves the city and Butte County by providing interlibrary loans, videos, dvd's, children's programs, summer reading program, magazines, newspapers, books on tape, books on cd, special collections (such as South Dakota, genealogy, large print), internet services, wireless, e-books, and of course books.
First sponsored in 1958, National Library Week is a national observance sponsored by the American Library Association (ALA) and libraries across the country each April.
April 16: Story Time will be at 10:00 am or 1:30 pm and is for 3 and 4 year olds. There will be fingerplays, cutting and drawing stories, books, puppet show, and more!
